Vol. 237 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Sligo Postman.

29.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs why a small farmer (name supplied) in County Sligo, who was doing temporary postman at the local post office for over 12 years, did not get the auxiliary post when a vacancy arose; and if the person in question will now be appointed to the vacancy.

It is not intended to make an appointment to the vacancy. Pending the introduction of motorised delivery in the area, which will absorb the post, other arrangements have been made for the performance of the work.
