asked the Minister for Transport and Power if pensions will be increased for many of those retired employees of CIE who have a CIE pension of £1 7s 6d with an increase of 7s 6d in January, as these men gave services of 25, 30 and even 40 years and their pension allowances are wholly inadequate to meet the present cost of living.
