asked the Minister for Local Government the number of requests received for the provision of pedestrian crossings in the city of Dublin during the year ended 31st December 1968.

The provision of pedestrian crossings is a matter for the road authority concerned, acting at the request, or with the consent, of the Garda Commissioner. Information as to the number of requests received by any local authority for pedestrian crossings is not available in my Department.
