The total net receipt from turnover tax from 1st January, 1968, to 31st December, 1968, was £17,373,000 approximately. The total net receipt from turnover tax from 1st November, 1963, to 31st December, 1968, was £75,481,000 approximately.
As turnover tax chargeable in respect of transactions in any month is normally payable in the following month, the figures given represent the approximate amounts paid in respect of transactions up to 30th November, 1968, inclusive.
