asked the Minister for Local Government if he will supply a breakdown by employment category (trade, semi-skilled and unskilled) of workers engaged in (a) private and (b) local authority building of houses in Dublin city and county.

Excluding the Ballymun scheme, the number of men employed on local authority house-building in Dublin city and county at the 31st December, 1968, was 1,376, of whom 828 were skilled and 548 unskilled. A further 663 men were employed at Ballymun, making a total of 2,039.

Corresponding figures for employment on private house-building are not available.
