Vol. 238 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions Oral Answers. - Dublin Health Charges.

102.

asked the Minister for Health if in consequence of his recent statement he has yet approached the Minister for Finance with a view to stablising the health charges on the rates in Dublin; and, if so, with what result.

I have had discussions with the Minister for Finance about the estimated cost of the health services for the coming financial year. The proportion of this cost falling on local rates was one of the matters discussed.

The discussions are not yet finished and the Deputy will appreciate that any decisions which may be taken will apply not only in Dublin but to all local rating authorities.
