Vol. 238 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Gneeveguilla (Kerry) Speed Limit.

40.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether he will consider the introduction of a speed limit for the village of Gneeveguilla, County Kerry, where there is a church, school and creamery and where traffic tends to move quickly.

The question of imposing a speed limit in the village of Gneeveguilla was considered during the last review of speed limits in County Kerry. In the light of traffic volumes and the nature of development in the area, the imposition of a limit was not regarded as warranted. Speed limits are subject to periodic review and I will bear the Deputy's representations in mind during the next review of speed limits in County Kerry.
