Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Shannon-Chicago Non-Stop Flights.

2.

(Dublin South-Central) asked the Minister for Transport and Power when Irish airlines propose to commence daily non-stop flights from Shannon to Chicago; and what was the determining factor that brought about the decision to make daily flights.

Aerlinte propose to commence non-stop flights daily—except Sunday—from Shannon to Chicago on the 1st June, 1969. The frequency of flights on particular routes is a matter to be determined by the air companies in the light of relevant commercial considerations.
