Vol. 238 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Free Transport for Pensioner.

45.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare why a person (name supplied) in County Galway, who is an old age pensioner, does not qualify for free transport.

Under the scheme operated by my Department free travel is available for old age pensioners. The person named by the Deputy has claimed old age pension but his claim has not yet been decided. If he is awarded pension he will be issued with a pension book which will enable him to get the free travel facilities.
