Vol. 238 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions Oral Answers. - Irish Fertiliser Costs.

24.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries whether his attention has been drawn to complaints about the cost of Irish fertilisers; and what action he proposes to take in the matter.

I presume the Deputy is referring to a newspaper report of a statement alleging "the establishment of a virtual sales monopoly by native fertiliser producers".

Control of fertiliser prices is, of course, a function of the Minister for Industry and Commerce.
