asked the Minister for Labour whether his Department intend to implement a policy of aid to Irish emigrants in Britain.

47.

asked the Minister for Labour if he will give further details of the proposed Government scheme to assist Irish exiles in Great Britain which was announced in a public statement recently.

I propose, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, to take Questions Nos. 46 and 47 together.

The Government are at present considering what could be done to provide better information, guidance and advice to people who propose to go abroad for work. I hope to make a statement in the matter soon.
