asked the Minister for Education the composition of the board of management proposed for the new regional technical college at Sligo; and if the board will be similar in composition in all such colleges.

I propose, after consultation with the bodies concerned, that the regional technical colleges will be managed by a Board of Management which will be appointed in accordance with section 21(2) of the Vocational Education Act, 1930. The composition of the Board of Management has not yet been decided for any of the colleges.

asked the Minister for Education if a decision has been made to set up a college council for the regional technical college at Sligo; and, if so, what the proposed composition of such council will be.

The College Councils in the case of the Regional Technical Colleges will consist of members nominated on the following basis:

asked the Minister for Education when it is now expected the new regional technical college at Sligo will open for classes.

It is expected that the regional technical college at Sligo will open for classes next September, as scheduled.
