Vol. 238 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Limerick Housing.

15.

asked the Minister for Local Government (a) the number of applications for housing at present with Limerick Corporation, (b) the number of houses completed in the financial year 1967-68, (c) the estimated number of new houses which will have been provided during the current financial year and (d) the number of houses at present in the course of construction.

Particulars are not available in my Department of the number of applications for housing at present with Limerick Corporation. I would, however, refer the Deputy to my reply to his question of 4th July last in which I indicated that there were 595 applicants on their approved waiting list at that time. The corporation completed 27 houses in 1967/68; they expect to complete 309 dwellings in 1968/69 and they have 714 dwellings under construction at present.
