Projections of total employment, broken down by major sectors of activity, for the four-year period 1969-1972 have been prepared by the Department of Finance and will be included in the Third Programme to be published shortly. The function of the Manpower Forecasting Unit of my Department is to try to break down these total projections as between industries and occupations on a national, regional and local basis.
