Vol. 238 No. 12

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take business in the following order: Nos. 14, 15, 16 and 17 and to take No. 16 with No. 15. Private Members' Business will be taken from 6 o'clock to 7.30 p.m.

I should like your advice, Sir, in relation to a matter of privilege. Last week, a letter addressed to a Fianna Fáil Deputy was apparently opened in Leinster House and its contents ascertained. The contents were later made public by the Labour Party. I wish this matter to be investigated and the guilty ones dealt with.

On that particular matter I would inform Deputy Dowling that the Chair is unable to assist him, but he is in a position to have this matter raised at the meeting of the Committee of Procedure and Privileges.

I wish to give notice to you, Sir, that I am dissatisfied with the reply to Question No. 14 on the 11th February and, with your permission, I wish to raise it on the Adjournment.

The Chair will communicate with Deputy Donegan.

Thank you, Sir.
