asked the Minister for Education the present position regarding the programme for vocational schools building or extensions at Carnew, Arklow, Wicklow and Dunlavin, County Wicklow.

With your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to circulate for inclusion in the Official Report a tabular statement giving the information requested.

Following is the statement:—

School

Position

Carnew

An extension to the school has been approved and the submission of sketch plans by the Vocational Education Committee is awaited.

Arklow

A new vocational school is proposed and the question of obtaining a suitable site is under discussion at present.

Wicklow

An extension to the school has been approved and the Vocational Education Committee are being authorised to proceed with the preparation of new sketch plans on the basis of a revised schedule of accommodation.

Dunlavin

Sketch plans for an extension of the school have been approved and the Vocational Education Committee have the preparation of working drawings in hand.
