asked the Taoiseach if he will state in respect of each of the years 1957 to date the quantity and value of imported coal used by State and semi-State bodies under the aegis of his Department.

No imported coal was used.

asked the Minister for External Affairs if he will state in respect of each of the years 1957 to date the quantity and value of imported coal used by State and semi-State bodies under the aegis of his Department.

There is no State or semi-State body under the aegis of my Department.

7. Aer Lingus Teo.

These Companies used small quantities of imported coal for office fires in their Headquarters Offices in O'Connell St. up to 1965. They have not used any imported coal since 1965.

8. Aer Línte Teo.

9. Aer Rianta Teo.

Yearly figures of quantity and cost not readily available. Total amount of imported coal used 1956-57 to 1967-68 inclusive was 1,289 tons, value £9,199.

10. Bord Fáilte Éireann

The Board does not use imported coal.

(i) Coal used in the years 1962-63 to 1967-68 inclusive was ex-stock.

(ii) The coal used by Bord na Móna is Smith's coal essential for use in blacksmiths' forges in the Board's works. The figures are estimated a s the coal was bought locally in small lots. Where possible the Board use native coal.

(iii) The figures in respect of these Companies refer to calender years.

34.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will state in respect of each of the years 1957 to date the quantity and value of imported coal used by State and semi-State bodies under the aegis of his Department.

Radio Telefís Éireann is the only State-sponsored body for which I have responsibility. I understand that the answer is nil in respect of each year since the establishment day, 1st June, 1960.

The information in respect of (a) is not available, and the answer in respect of (b) is nil.

asked the Minister for Justice if he will state in respect of each of the years 1957 to date the quantity and value of imported coal used by State and semi-State bodies under the aegis of his Department.

The answer is that there are no such bodies.

The answer is "None".

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state in respect of each of the years 1957 to date the quantity and value of imported coal used by State and semi-State bodies under the aegis of his Department.

The only State-sponsored bodies under the aegis of my Department that have used imported coal during the years in question are Comhlucht Siúicre Éireann Teo., the Irish Life Assurance Co. Ltd. and the Agricultural Credit Corporation Ltd. The figures requested by the Deputy in respect of each of these bodies are as follows:

The information sought is not readily available and will take some time to assemble. In the circumstances perhaps the Deputy would be good enough to repeat the question in about three weeks.

There are no semi-State bodies operating under the aegis of my Department.

There are no State or semi-State bodies under the aegis of my Department.

The premises occupied by bodies operating under the aegis of my Department are in all cases small and the quantities of fuel used are not significant. In the circumstances, the collection of the information requested in the Question would hardly be warranted so far as these bodies are concerned.

There are no State or semi-State bodies under the aegis of the Department of Lands.
