Vol. 238 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Louth Development Plan.

49.

asked the Minister for Local Government when he will rule on the application by Louth County Council for permission to alter their county development plan.

I assume that what the Deputy has in mind is the proposal of Louth County Council to make certain variations in the development plan for the county. As one of the prescribed authorities, I have been notified of this proposal but my consent to it is not required. It is a matter for the council themselves to decide whether the variations should be finally made. They will first have to consider any objections or representations that may be received and I understand that the latest date for the making of objections or representations is the 6th of this month.

Questions Nos. 50 and 51 postponed.
