Vol. 238 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Government's Policy towards Six Counties.

18.

asked the Taoiseach if he will make a statement on the Government's policy towards the Six Counties following the election there.

There will be no change in the Government's objective of the reunification of Ireland or in our endeavours to promote in all appropriate ways co-operation in matters of common concern between both parts of the country and the establishment of equal electoral and social rights as between all sections of the community in the Six Counties.

Will the Taoiseach ensure that there is stated Government policy stated by some responsible member of the Government?

I have no reason to give such an assurance.

The Taoiseach has very good grounds for giving that assurance.
