Vol. 238 No. 16

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kerry Forestry Land.

105.

asked the Minister for Lands whether he is aware that work on the forestry plantation at Glenbeigh and Kells, County Kerry, where several workers are employed, has almost come to an end; and if he will arrange to have further land made available in the near future in order to guarantee full employment.

I am aware that the work of planting at the Glenbeigh Property of Killorglin Forest is complete.

Here, as elsewhere in the country, every effort is being made to acquire additional land for afforestation but prospects in the near future in this particular area are not bright.
