asked the Minister for Education if he will state in respect of each of the last three years the number of young persons committed to (a) industrial schools and (b) reformatories in the age groups (i) 12 to 13 years, (ii) 13 to 14 years, (iii) 14 to 15 years, (iv) 15 to 16 years and (v) 16 to 17 years, giving a breakdown as between males and females.

With your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to circulate with the Official Report a statement giving in tabular form the information requested by the Deputy.
