Vol. 239 No. 2

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - Galway Redundancy Payments.

47.

asked the Minister for Labour whether any decision has been made by the tribunal which sat in November, 1968, to examine the redundancy payments for the workers of a company (name supplied) in Galway; and, if not, when a decision may be expected.

I am informed by the Redundancy Appeals Tribunal that its decision in a test-case involving the workers of the company referred to in the question was issued to the parties concerned on 28th February, 1969.

Would the Minister give the date of that reply again?

It was issued on 28th February, 1969.

Would the Minister say why I was not extended the courtesy of a reply to this question from his Department when it was asked over a month ago?

The date is 28th February, 1969.

I have not got a reply on the matter from the Department.

I do not understand the Deputy's question.

Pass it on to the Department.
