Committee on Finance. - Telephone Capital Bill, 1968: Money Resolution.

I move:

That for the purpose of any Act of the present session to provide further moneys for the development of the public telephonic system and for other purposes connected therewith it is expedient to authorise:—

(1) the charge on the Central Fund or the growing produce thereof of—

(a) a sum not exceeding fifty million pounds, and

(b) the principal and interest of any securities issued by the Minister for Finance for the purpose of borrowing under such Act and the expenses incurred in connection with the issue of such securities;

(2) the making out of moneys provided by the Oireachtas of—

(a) payments in respect of terminable annuities created under such Act, and

(b) repayments to the Central Fund of amounts paid thereout in respect of principal, interest or expenses or securities issued under such Act.
