Vol. 239 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Garda Station.

22.

asked the Minister for Finance when it is expected that building work will commence on a new Rathmines Garda Síochána station at Rathgar Road, Dublin; and what living accommodation and offices will be provided there.

It is expected that tenders for the erection of a new Garda station at Rathmines will be invited in June and that building work will commence about September.

Office accommodation will be available for the station complement of uniformed and detective gardaí and for ban-ghardaí. No living-in accommodation will be provided.

Would the Parliamentary Secretary give an undertaking that such notices as may be required in the new Garda station in Rathmines will be secured now so that they will be ready for erection when the building is completed not about three years afterwards?

That is a separate question.

I shall table a separate question if it is a separate question. Most people would regard such notices as part of the building.

I am calling the Deputy's Question, No. 23.
