Vol. 239 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquisition of County Galway Estate.

44.

asked the Minister for Lands if he is aware that the Rushe estate, Annaghmore East, Moylough, County Galway is being offered for sale; and if it is the intention of the Land Commission to acquire it.

I am aware that the holding in question containing 12 acres, has been advertised for sale by private treaty. The Land Commission have no proceedings for the acquisition of the property but they are arranging to have enquiries carried out with the consent of the owner's representative. Until such time as these are completed it is not possible to forecast what the outcome will be.
