Vol. 239 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Industrial Dispute.

42.

asked the Minister for Labour whether he is aware that a dispute exists in a firm (name supplied) based solely on the failure by the firm to recognise a trade union; and whether he will comment on this situation where the firm refuses in effect to recognise the right of association of its employees.

I am aware of the dispute referred to by the Deputy. As I have already stated in the House on several occasions, I believe that it is in the best interest of a firm to recognise a union catering for its employees.
