Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Housing.

31.

asked the Minister for Local Government the amount of subsidies paid to Dublin Corporation in respect of housing development in the last financial year; and the estimated amount to be paid in the current financial year.

In 1968-69, the total housing subsidy paid to Dublin Corporation by my Department amounted to £1,708,285.

It is not possible to indicate the corresponding payments in 1969-70, pending the submission by the corporation of the relevant accounts.

32.

asked the Minister for Local Government when the first housing scheme at Abbeyville, Sligo will be complete; when the new houses will be allocated to tenants; and how many maisonettes there are in Sligo.

Sligo Corporation's scheme of 40 houses at Abbeyville is scheduled for completion in September, 1969. I cannot indicate when the houses will be allocated to tenants. Information as to the number of maisonettes in Sligo is not available in my Department.
