Vol. 239 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquisition of County Cork Estate.

63.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will take steps to ensure that Currabinny Wood, County Cork, at present being offered for sale, will be acquired by his Department for preservation as a forest park.

I have instructed the Forestry Division of my Department to arrange for an up-to-date report on the lands at Currabinny Wood which have been offered for sale. Pending receipt of the report, I am not in a position to comment on the possibility of acquiring the area for forestry purposes.
