Vol. 240 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Wicklow Housing Needs.

30.

asked the Minister for Local Government the number of houses needed to satisfy the housing needs of County Wicklow at 31st March, 1969.

This information is not available in my Department.

While the information may not be available in the Department, is it not usual for the different Departments to get in touch with the local authorities concerned and get the information and give it to the Deputies here?

So far as I know the only information available in Wicklow County Council is an estimate of the housing needs to the 31st March, 1971.

Could the estimate not be given to this House?

I was not asked for it. I was asked for information to 31st March, 1969.

They do not want to give information not available in the Department.

1971 is two years away.
