asked the Taoiseach the estimated population of each constituency as defined in the Electoral (Amendment) Act, 1969.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Population of Constituencies.
The most recent population figures available for constituencies, as defined in the Schedule to the Electoral (Amendment) Act, 1969, are those derived from the Census of Population, 1966. These are contained in the following statement which, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to circulate in the Official Report.
Estimates of population in intercensal years are made only for the State as a whole. The last such estimate is 2,910,000 in April, 1968. This represents an increase of approximately 26,000 over the 1966 Census figures.
Following is the statement:

I did not even ask the Taoiseach for all of that information, but when information is favourable it is always given.
It is nice to know that.
