Vol. 240 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Galway Pension Application.

69.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare why a person (name supplied) in County Galway does not qualify for an old age pension.

When the claim to pension was investigated, the applican't means, assessed as the yearly value of a farm, exceeded the statutory limit. He subsequently transferred his lands to members of his family but the deed was not sent for registration until the 23rd April. Notification to that effect was received in my Department on 25th April and pension was awarded on the same day.
