Vol. 240 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - TB Allowances.

82.

asked the Minister for Health if he will take steps to increase TB allowances substantially to meet the high cost of living.

The periodic increases in the Infectious Diseases Maintenance Allowances have more than compensated for any rise in the cost of living. The rates of allowances payable under the Health Act regulations are kept under constant review. The most recent increases were granted in 1967 and 1968.
