asked the Minister for Finance the number of piers, harbours and slips in south west Cork which it is proposed to improve this year; and the amount of money which has been allocated for each.

Work is continuing on the Fishery Harbour Centre at Castletownbere for which £195,000 has been allocated for the current year. State grants of £12,000 (75 per cent) and £3,000 (100 per cent) have been allocated for improvement works at Reen, (Castle-townshend) and North Harbour, (Cape Clear) respectively. Other proposals are being considered.
