asked the Minister for Local Government if he is satisfied that the tree plantation at the junctions of Slievenamon Road-Galtymore Road and Slievenamon Road-Davitt Road, Dublin, will not, in time, create a traffic hazard by obscuring the view of approaching traffic.

This is a matter for consideration by the local authority.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware of any plans for proper traffic control at the junction of Shelton Grove-Kimmage Road, Dublin; and, if not, if he will bring the need for such plans to the urgent attention of the traffic study group.

The provision of traffic control devices is a matter for the local authority acting at the request, or with the consent, of the Garda Commis- sioner. No proposals have been submitted to me in relation to this junction.

asked the Minister for Local Government when a complete system of traffic lights will be erected at the junction of Tyrconnell Road and Jamestown Road, Inchicore, Dublin.

The provision of traffic light signals is a matter for the local authority acting at the request or with the consent of the Garda Commissioner. There are no proposals on this matter before my Department.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware of large mounds of earth left at the complex junction on Sundrive Road, Dublin or of any plans to remove them; and what general plans there are for this junction.

The financing of the local authority's proposals for the construction of a traffic island to improve traffic control at the junction of Sundrive Road, Kildare Road, Clonmacnoise Road, Lismore Road and Ferns Road was approved in June, 1968. The execution of the works is a matter for the local authority.
