Vol. 241 No. 5

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - Sligo Hospital Accommodation.

3.

asked the Minister for Health when the new hospital will be opened in Sligo as there is a great need for extra accommodation owing to overcrowding of the existing hospital.

I am advised that building work on the new extensions at Sligo County Hospital will be completed by the end of the year. Steps are being taken for the equipping and staffing of the new accommodation and I understand that it should be possible to make the new buildings available for the reception of patients early in the new year.
