Vol. 241 No. 5

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - Tralee Hospital.

5.

asked the Minister for Health if in view of the inadequacy of accommodation in the County Hospital, Tralee, he will have the building of the proposed new county hospital expedited; and how soon the work will commence.

I am prepared to expedite the planning and erection of the proposed new hospital at Tralee in so far as my Department are involved in this project. My Department have written to Kerry County Council suggesting an outline schedule of accommodation for the hospital and I am awaiting the council's reply.

It is not possible at this early stage of planning to say how soon the building work will commence.
