asked the Minister for Health what new hospital or health centre buildings will be erected in Dublin city and county within the next year.

I presume that the Deputy's question relates to works at present in progress which are expected to be completed within the next year and works already approved which are expected to be commenced within the coming year. As the list of projects is lengthy I propose, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, to circulate it with the Official Report.

The list is as follows:

Projects at present under construction in Dublin City and County:

New St. Vincent's Hospital, Elm Park.

New unit for emotionally disturbed children at Beaumont.

Scheme of improvements at Hospital 3, St. Kevin's Hospital.

Staff canteen at St. Kevin's Hospital.

Psychiatric unit at St. Kevin's Hospital.

Occupational therapy centre at St. Ita's Hospital, Portrane.

Unit for drug addicts and alco. holics at St. Brendan's Hospital, Grangegorman.

Pre-adolescent unit at St. Loman's Hospital, Ballyowen.

Adaptation of former Coombe Hospital to provide a day centre for the aged.

Hostel at Usher's Island.

Scheme of improvements at Regina Coeli Hostel.

Alterations to dormitories at St. Teresa's Home, Blackrock.

All of the foregoing projects are expected to be completed, or virtually completed, within the next year, except the scheme at Regina Coeli Hostel.

Projects already approved and on which it is expected that construction will be commenced within the next year:

New nurses home and new X-ray accommodation at Temple Street Children's Hospital.

New drug addiction clinic, Jervis Street Hospital.

New operating theatre, extension to pathology department and coronary care unit at the Mater Hospital.

New central laundry for hospitals in the Dublin area, and extended centre for the supply of sterile goods to hospitals generally.

Conversion of 61-62 Adelaide Road to provide staff and office accommodation for the Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Hospital.

Extra residential accommodation at Mary Immaculate School for Deaf Boys, Stillorgan.

Scheme of improvements at St. Laurence's Hospital.

Unit for mentally handicapped patients, workshops and staff accommodation at Peamount Hospital.

Scheme of extensions (including workshops and play area) at Stewart's Hospital, Palmerstown.

Assessment unit in St. Augustine's, Blackrock.

Extension of maternity unit at St. Kevin's Hospital.

Pathology laboratory at St. Kevin's Hospital.

Health centre, North Strand.

Health centre, Ballymun.

Extension of Rathfarnham Dispensary.

Centre for adult mentally handicapped patients, at St. Ita's Hospital, Portrane.

Many of the projects listed above are expected to be completed within the next year.
