The commission did not complete the taking of evidence from representatives of the Force until 10th July and they have yet to hear the official side in reply and a final submission from the Garda side.
Could we have a general indication from the Minister if that report will be received before the end of the year, or, at the earliest, by the resumption of the Dáil after we go into hibernation during the summer period?
The commission have got all the facilities so far as I can provide them to try to bring in that report as quickly as possible. I would expect it by the end of the year.
