Vol. 241 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Cork Lands.

118.

asked the Minister for Defence whether he is prepared to sell the lands under the control of his Department at Ballincollig, County Cork, for housing and industrial purposes.

The possibility of disposing of the State's interest in certain portions of the lands at Dún Uí Mhurchada, Ballincollig, County Cork, is under active consideration.

I shall communicate with the Deputy as soon as a decision has been reached.

Before coming to a decision, and because of the nonavailability of land for housing and industrial development in the Ballincollig area, would the Minister receive a deputation from the local people, the deputation he was requested to receive some time ago?

Every relevant aspect will be considered by me.

It is people with vested interests who want to meet the Minister.

Every legitimate interest will be listened to and every aspect will be considered.
