Vol. 241 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Deansgrange (Dublin) Vocational School.

91.

asked the Minister for Education if he is aware of the need for a vocational school at Deansgrange, County Dublin; and what proposals there are to establish such a school there.

I understand that the County Dublin Vocational Education Committee have been looking for a site for a vocational school in Deansgrange and that the county council have now offered a site of 3.82 acres at Clonkeen Road. This offer comes before this month's meeting of the vocational committee.

It is not considered that there is any immediate need for a vocational school in the area but the purchase of the site is part of the committee's long-term development plans.
