Vol. 241 No. 9

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - Army Personnel Salary Adjustments.

21.

asked the Taoiseach if Army personnel employed in State and semi-State companies under the aegis of his Department who have been called out on permanent service will have any difference in their salaries adjusted.

The matter does not arise in relation to my Department.

I am sorry. I did not hear the Taoiseach.

The matter does not arise in relation to my Department.

The Taoiseach mentioned the Devlin Report...

I am answering Question No. 21 which was called by the Ceann Comhairle.

While the matter does not arise in relation to the Taoiseach's Department can he say whether it is a fact that officers or personnel so called up on the Reserve do suffer a diminution in their salaries?

As I said, it does not affect my Department and there are other questions in precisely the same terms down to other Ministers about this.
