asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries what relationship exists between present fish deaths in the Blackwater and the outbreak of salmon disease affecting fish life in some inland waters two or three years ago.

The recent fish mortality in the River Blackwater was due to causes other than the UDN disease, the incidence of which was very low during that period.
