The county council are formulating proposals for a housing scheme at Athenry and are negotiating for the acquisition of additional land for this purpose. A layout plan has been approved by me for a scheme of 66 houses in Tuam, and the council are preparing detailed plans for the first stage of this scheme. Proposals have been submitted to my Department for the development of sites for private housing at the Fair Green in Tuam. These are under consideration.
