Vol. 242 No. 4

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take Nos. 1, 2, 3 and 13 (Votes 39, 34, 35) and 4. It is proposed to discharge the order for taking the Immature Spirits (Restriction) Bill, 1969, tomorrow and take it today instead. It is proposed to interrupt business at 6 p.m. to take this Bill and No. 4 and, when completed, to resume the Order of Business.

May I ask the Minister for Finance if he intends to re-introduce the Central Bank Bill, which, he will remember, he had introduced prior to the dissolution, before Christmas?

I should like to take it before Christmas but I doubt if there will be time.

Not even to introduce it?

The introduction, as the Deputy knows, is only a matter of minutes but I do not think we can take it before Christmas.

(Cavan): I wish to give notice that I intend to raise the subject matter of Question No. 11 on the Order Paper of Wednesday, 5th November, 1969, on the Adjournment.

The Chair will communicate with the Deputy.
