Vol. 242 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kerry Transformer.

52.

asked the Minister for Transport and Power if the ESB will arrange immediately for the installation of a new transformer at Milltown, County Kerry as the output from the existing transformer is alleged to be below the safety mark and television sets and radio sets as well as electric motors are not functioning properly.

I am informed by the ESB that they have arranged to install a transformer of greater capacity at Milltown, County Kerry. This involves alteration of the network and there has been a local objection to certain aspects of this work. Provided that the objection can be cleared in a reasonable time, I expect the work to be completed before Christmas.
