Vol. 242 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Corporation Housing Land.

15.

asked the Minister for Local Government the number of acres of (a) serviced and (b) unserviced land in the possession of the Dublin Corporation intended for housing; the location of each of the areas; the price paid for each area; the proposals for building in each area, and when the building work will commence and be completed in each area.

As the reply is in the form of a tabular statement, I propose with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, to circulate it with the Official Report.

The following is a statement showing the location and numbers of dwellings in schemes which were included in Dublin Corporation's building programme at the 31st October, 1969:

Detailed information is not available in the Department in the form requested by the Deputy regarding the acreage of the sites (other than those set out above), the price paid for each area of land, when work will be started in each area where work is not already in progress, or when work in progress will be completed in each area.

Will the Minister state to the House what the present average price per acre on (a) serviced and (b) unserviced land in Dublin is?

That is a different question. The Deputy on your left might be able to tell you something about it.

I could tell too much about it. I could tell the truth about it, which the Minister has never done.
