asked the Minister for Local Government the actual location and the number of houses which it is expected that the Dún Laoghaire Corporation will complete this year; and the number of houses in course of construction on other sites by the Dún Laoghaire Corporation.

Dún Laoghaire Corporation have a total of 220 dwellings under construction at present, including 104 dwellings at Mounttown House, which are due for completion about May next, and 116 houses at Ballybrack, on which work was started recently. Development work is in progress for a further 200 corporation houses at Ballybrack, and 70 sites have been made available there for private dwellings.

asked the Minister for Local Government the actual location and number of houses which it is expected that Dublin County Council will complete this year in the Rathdown area; and the number of houses in course of construction on other sites in the Rathdown area by the Dublin County Council.

Dublin County Council have already completed work this year on 146 dwellings in the Rathdown area, including 118 dwellings at Cabinteely and 28 dwellings at Churchtown. They have under construction, at present, a scheme of ten houses at New Vale, Shankill, on which work should be completed early next year. Plans have been or are being prepared by them for 96 dwellings at Rosemount, Dundrum; 186 at Ballinteer, Dundrum; 42 at Ard Lorcan, Stillorgan and 13 rural cottages. The council have acquired, for housing purposes, 145 acres at Ballyogan Road, Carrickmines and 65½ acres at Sandyford.
