Vol. 242 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Parking Signs.

3.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will arrange with Dublin Corporation to have No-Parking signs provided in Marlborough Road, Dublin, as the road there is being used as a parking place by heavy commercial vehicles throughout the day and night.

The imposition of a parking prohibition is a matter for the Garda Commissioner by means of parking bye-laws or temporary rules made by him with my consent. The provision of traffic signs to denote such a prohibition is a matter for the local authority at the request or with the consent of the Commissioner.
