Copies of telegram forms for the period prior to 1st April, 1969, are no longer available in the Department of Posts and Telegraphs.
During the period 1st April, 1969 to 31st October, 1969, the total cost of telegrams from my office and that of my Parliamentary Secretary was £1 and 11s 6d respectively.
Can the Minister say to whom these telegrams were sent and for what purpose? Why was a question of this nature put down at all? It seems extraordinary.
