Vol. 244 No. 7

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - Membership of EEC.

14.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries if he has noted the effects on prices of foods of Britain's accession to the EEC as stated in the British Government's White Paper just released; if he will now indicate the likely increase in Irish farm prices of (a) beef per cwt, (b) wheat per barrel, (c) feed barley per barrel, (d) creamery milk per gallon and (e) milk for human consumption per gallon in the event of this country's accession to the EEC.

As I informed the House on 5th February a detailed study of the implications for Irish agriculture of membership of the EEC is at present being completed in my Department and I hope to publish it in the near future.
